Got the lash lift done a couple times. Was pretty good and I loved the price. However, I always felt like she was trying very hard to be nice, friendly and welcoming. Wasn't a huge deal, I tolerated it for the next few sessions. I was seeing her for every 6-9 weeks for 45 minutes. I don't need to be her best friend, or even feel welcome to get a good lash lift. But what really upset me today was her complete lack of customer service and empathy.
I am a business owner so I am absolutely an advocate of paying for a person's time, following rules and booking policies. But sometimes, life catches up to us. This time, Covid caught me, knocked me down and had me in bed for almost a week. Getting my lashes done was not on my radar because my eyes weren't even open to text, and my throat hurt to talk. Got a text message about my appointment this morning while I was sleeping, and woke up around lunch time, missing my appointment. It's not the fact that I had to pay for the full service without having the service; it was the complete lack of empathy that will keep me from ever rebooking wit her. I could see if I just forgot, yes that's my fault. But with covid you have to be a little more understanding, gracious and sympathetic, even if you're not empathetic.
Those little human touches keep clients coming back. So she made $90 on me for the service, but she won't make any more money or tips from me because of it. I would rather pay more money with someone else who offers better people skills. Sorry Lauren. Great lash lift. But there are tons of other people who offer the same service with better people skills.
