Over the years I have learned to appreciate and respect the outdoor clothing that EDDIE BAUER designs.
Many years ago, I worked for both CBS and NBC television networks, on separate weekends, covering Chicago Bears football games. CBS stationed me inside their remote truck, while NBC had me standing on the roof of Soldiers Field, next to the high camera and emergency scoreboard.
On the roof, wearing a winter coat, I was minimally protected from Lake Michigan's biting winds. It was impossible to stay warm. The next day, on the advice of the crew, I went to Eddie Bauer's downtown store and bought the most expensive coat of my life. The Arctic rated coat was warm and comfortable.
Years later, working on location filming Westerns, I still wore that coat, even though the rough terrain cut through the sleeves and pockets. But, Eddie Bauer kept its promise and season after season repaired the coat, free of charge.
Times and products change. I understand that the repair service is no longer available. But, their recreation wear looks good. I bought a couple of polo shirts.
Everything is wheelchair accessible at the outlet. Parking is free and ADA compatible spaces are available.
