Probably the best German/pan European grocery store in the Portland metro area. They have a decent selection of European cold cuts and cheeses . Also a fairly extensive selection of sweets and chocolate.
Prepared foods and take away foods are also available.
There is a small seating area with a half a dozen or so tables .
A limited selection of baked goods are also for sale.
Prices are somewhat higher than local goods but the quality is so much better.
Parking is usually OK but can be challenging sometimes on a Saturday or around lunch. No handicap parking in front of store.
Limited handicap accessibility in the store because of narrow aisles which can be crowded at certain times,
Final take---Go if you enjoy quality foods with a European flair.

Been there three times, every time I come back to Portland. Had a Reuben sandwich, delicious on dark bread. Bought some brats, cheese, rolls for the BBQ. Beef jerky for the trip home. All the meats are made on site, smoked on site too. Breads imported from Germany. Everything was good, well worth the side trip if it's not on your way somewhere else. I'll be back on my next visit.

Thought it was pretty pricey when I saw the menu, but I do appreciate the fact that they make everything in house, so it is what it is. I decided on the Pastrami Reuben. As you can see in the picture, it is a very proper looking sandwich. My only gripe was, the bread was extremely toasted. The top of my mouth did not appreciate it whatsoever. It was rough. But the meat and the sauce, absolutely delicious. If I got it again, I would definitely just ask for either lightly toasted, or not toasted at all. Other than that, I think they do a solid job.
