The beauty of this venue and the views that come with the venue is what initially made us book this venue, only to find out after paying $5,000+ that they tore the roof off and it was exposed white insulation that took away from the beauty of the barn for us and would have deterred us from booking if we would have been aware of all the changes they were intending to do that were never informed to us.
Throughout the process of planning our wedding we were met with numerous issues with the communication Aanya provided us, who was our main point of contact.
In our initial tour my now husband, mother, sister, aunt, and mother-in-law asked questions that we knew would be beneficial to know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly. Those questions being:
Aanya & the signed contract stated we could in fact have the DJ there just to be told later in planning they would not let us have the DJ up there because of sound issues.
Aanya stated that we were allowed to have as much alcohol in the bridal suite to consume on wedding day but the alcohol could not leave the bridal suite throughout the day. On the actual day of the wedding Kelley (the owner) was seen by numerous individuals in our bridal party dumping out our alcohol and grabbing any unopened alcohol from bags, tables, counters, etc. and bringing it to the bartender stating that the bartenders had an issue with us drinking without them knowing the consumption levels which was not true after speaking with the bartenders that was never an issue, and our bartenders had such an issue with the approach that they spoke with Kelley after the wedding to let her know that they did not appreciate her putting the blame on them when they never stated that to begin with.
I reached out to Aanya about many issues throughout the process and always felt that any ideas or thoughts we had on the day were rejected which discouraged us immensely to the point where the week before the wedding I asked to go back out to the venue to try and salvage the experience and ensure our day was special. We accommodated the venue in more ways then we felt accommodated by them throughout the process, and for the cost of the venue I don’t feel like that is fair.
Overall, the DJ had to be moved, the roof was torn off after booking the venue and took away from the beauty of the venue and was informed to us, items were taken from our things and we are still missing items now, we wanted an outside wedding and their grass was not “capable” of accommodating that so we had to move it inside, every door and window we tried to open to cool the venue down was closed right behind us, and information was provided to us that was extremely misleading and altered our wedding experience tremendously.
I will say the venue is beautiful but the experience and information provided to us by vendors, family members, and guests about how the owner addressed issues that day and communicated with everyone would prevent us from recommending this venue again.
Luckily all of our other vendors, friends, and family ensured our day was the best it could be otherwise.
