My mother passed away & we did a cremation & ceremony at Santa Rosa Memorial Cemetery where the crematory is. The Eggen & Lance employee didn’t give us any guidelines for timing and didn’t do any reminders. She literally just shows up dressed causally and sits outside. After 1 hour of time We were wrapping up our ceremony- literally at 2 minutes past the hour & the cremation employee comes in interrupted final prayers to tell us we have to move into the cremation room urgently because the next group was there. There was no other group. We had a Mid week midday funeral. I said, “can you give us 3 more minutes to wrap up?” He insisted, “no we must cremate now and move out of the chapel.” He was dressed in jeans & black work shirt and walked up the center of the church aisle mid prayer. I have never seen such a disrespectful situation/ lack of customer service. What an abrasive way to interrupt a ceremony. The Eggen & Lance Ceremony manager could have politely come down the side aisle and done a gentle reminder for a time check she didn’t even outline to our family. The whole thing was insane and ruined my mothers funeral in many ways. I would highly advise against using Eggen & Lance and Santa Rosa Memorial Cemetery if you want to peacefully and respectfully put your loved one to rest with a beautiful ceremony. If you’d like a janitorial worker wearing a chain belt covered in tattoos wearing jeans and No respect interrupting your loved ones ceremony then Eggen & Lance is your mortuary. I’m forever disgusted and upset to have to had closing words interrupted this way. I waited outside for 1 hour to see if there was another group Or ceremony & there was never any other party to enter the chapel or crematorium that afternoon. No funeral plans will be made for anyone I love here again. The mortuary gave me 125 bucks back as an apology, I would’ve rather paid $10000 to not have had such a disrespectful close to my mother’s funeral. You can’t take this type of customer service back and you can’t undo such a lack of good business practice.

At a time where I felt lost, the staff at Egan and Lance rescued me. Thank you to Jamie for aiding me with my many questions and personal troubles. If you don't know where to go, this is the place for the hardships you encounter.

From the moment we walked in, there was a sense of compassion and understanding that enveloped us. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, allowing us to focus on remembering and honoring our loved one.
