We went here on a tuesday to celebrate taco tuesday, and it was excellent! They just recently opened and they have great tacos. My partner and I got 5 lengua (beef tongue) tacos each, so 10 tacos in total. The lengua was so tender and flavorful. Definitely recommend it to anyone that comes here.
My partner also got horchata and I got a mexican coke. Their horchata is super tasty and refreshing! The mexican coke hits different since it uses real sugar. A great pairing for tacos.
If you're looking for a new place for tacos in the Totem Lake area, I would definitely recommend this place!
Nearly perfect Baja/Mexi-Cali food ported over from their excellent food truck.
This is a lunch counter/fast food service sit down restaurant version of an excellent nearby food truck. Service is minimal, but friendly and the restaurant is clean and neat with a traditional street taqueria feel to the décor.
The food was nearly perfect for the price point. We had birria, adobada, and carnitas and all were delicious. With bottomless horchata and tamarindo to drink, who can ask for more?
They lose a star because I found a whole bay leaf inside my birria burrito. That's a dangerous bite right there. I think there was also potato hiding in the burrito leftover from the birria stew. That's an ingredient I wasn't expecting (and one which triggers an allergy for me). Mostly it's about the inedible bay leaf. Other than that, the food was great.
We will definitely be back.
