Visited Elaichi Co., and tried karak chai and I have to say, it’s the best spot for doodh patti chai in the Bay Area. The chai was so perfect, brewed with rich flavors that reminded me of traditional chai back home. The ambiance is clean, and inviting, making it a great place to relax. I also appreciated the prayer area, which adds a thoughtful touch.
I tried their elaichi bun as well, and it was delicious soft, aromatic, and the perfect accompaniment to the chai. Highly recommend it for chai lovers! 10/10
Cool new spot in downtown Berkeley. They have a strong focus on Chais, but there coffee based beverages are also solid. Menu is very focused, but everything we had was solid. The cafe is on a side street that is tree lined, which is nice because you avoid some of the madness on shattuck.
I’d return.
