Elders Inn has really lifted the stress off my shoulders. I really needed help with my husband who was in his early stage of dementia because I had my own health I needed to take care of as well as my mother. Communication with the staff is exceptional. They really guided me through the process and always gave me a quick response to my questions or concerns. They go above and beyond to ensure that I felt valued and understood.
It is heartwarming to witness the personalized care they provide, addressing my husband’s specific needs with empathy. They kept me informed and involved, which gave me a strong sense of partnership and trust. I wholeheartedly recommend Elders Inn to anyone seeking a compassionate environment for their loved ones with memory related needs.

My mom was at Elders Inn for the last three years, and even with the confusion of Covid, the staff and family provided a professional, safe and loving environment. She turned 100 last year just as quarantine was imposed, and when our large family party was cancelled, Marie and everyone there helped us create a fun, distanced celebration. Mom loved it. We will always be grateful for all they did for her.

In 2007, with mobility challenges on the horizon, my parents moved from their three level home in Oakland to Waters Edge Lodge, near us in Alameda. They lived and thrived at Waters Edge until early 2016 when, well into their nineties at that point, they needed an increased level of support. Based upon how well the Zimmerman family and their first rate staff at Waters Edge took care of them for nearly a decade it was an easy decision for our family to choose Elders Inn for the next phase of their lives. Though my father passed peacefully under hospice care at Elders Inn later that year, my mother, now in her 102nd year, is still there and doing amazingly well. To a person, Elders staff has become our family too - just as my parents have been to each of them for so many years. And while the challenges of the pandemic this past year and a half have been significant, there is absolutely nowhere else that our family would rather that she be.
