Electrify America Charging Station

For the last two weeks, most of the chargers have not been working. Calling Electrify America has been of little help. This used to be a great charging spot but until send a technician to fix the 3 or 4 charges that aren't working I would avoid.

TL;DR: Obviously some unhappy campers writing reviews for this station. My review and rating is based on a single experience, but I had no problems charging and a pleasant experience overall.

There was one stall open when I arrived, and we pulled right in. Charging initiated on the first try, and we got excellent speeds for the conditions. Four total cars were charging, so 4/6 for the station.

After that, people were waiting for a bit, thanks to the iD4 making the most of their free plan and the Leaf camped out on stall #1. I charged and left before either one of them moved.

People in line waiting for me and the car next to me were polite and orderly, and we all communicated so everyone was at ease. I thought the Leaf waiting for the other Leaf at the only CHAdeMO tower was going to go to blows, he was highly agitated and actually confronted the other Leaf.

We popped into the Target to use the restroom and by the time we came out, we were finished. I only charge long enough to get to the next source of juice.

I will keep this station in mind for the future, but as with many other stations, it looks like it's a matter of timing whether you have a good experience.

Based on today, I'm going with four stars.

Rarely does more than one or two out of four chargers work! And when they work often they only give you 40 kilowatt hours. The average charge time on our road trip to Phoenix was 2:00 to 2 and 1/2 hours waiting for one to be free, then waiting for one to work, then waiting on hold with Electrify America who by the way were very nice when they did answer, then waiting for the charger to work, then waiting for it to reset! It was a nightmare!
