Wow-sa! Thank goodness for Elegance preserved for making my wedding 100% weather proof. We had some unexpected the day of my OUTDOOR wedding. Although we had tents, the ground was muddy and there was plenty of time I had to duck out of the shelter of the tents. By the end of the night, my dress was soaked and slate gray a from the bottom of the dress to nearly my knees. I thought for sure there was no way to save my Janelle dress by Maggie Sottero. If you are familiar with the dress, you'd know that it has a ton of beading on delicate tulle.
A few days after the wedding I found Elegance Preserved by talking to Trudy's in Campbell (where I got the dress) and talked to Diane on the phone. She assured me that they could take care of my dress. In the rainy madness of the night, I lost my garment bag, so I dropped off my dress in a garbage bag. They quickly assessed the dress and gave me a quote.
Two months later I got an email with photographic proof that my was clean as new. I was shocked! The color is back to the original and you could never tell that it was soaked in muddy rain water.
