I went in needing some information about a particular plant for a botanical illustration. I was having difficulty deciphering between a few varieties and based on what we knew about location, structure etc. the gal on staff helped me narrow it down and get the reference materials I needed. Fantastic resource! They have seeds and a ton of PNW specific materials. They also have really nice art that rotates. Highly recommended!

All the libraries on and around the UW are pretty cool, but this one is definitely in the top 5. The people here are knowledgeable and friendly, and the environment is definitely conducive to learning. Plus, even if you're not a UW student or faculty member, you're still welcome since this library is open to the public! If you're into plants/horticulture, this is the place for you!

Fantastic resource with books and magazines for gardeners, nursery owners, landscapers, and pretty much everything to do with plants. Librarian on duty was incredibly helpful- she noticed I'd been looking through one section for a while and came over to ask what I was looking for and point me to a more relevant shelf. This library is the best.
