I was so glad that my realtor recommended Elite Group. Kris was on time (early, at that), thorough, and so polite. This is our first home, and he was very understanding of the things that would need a bit more explanation for me. My husband had to work, so he allowed me to not only record him for future reference but also FaceTime with my husband in case he had any questions. The follow-up has been unsurpassed by anything else during the home buying experience. My report was 90 pages and as detailed as anything I could ever imagine. Photos were included, so we knew exactly what he was talking about and the precise location. I specifically appreciated the photos where he used a "thumbs up" to let us know it was good. We did get a cost estimate (which is an extra fee) that put any hesitations at ease. Kris represents this company so well. Had no hesitation in giving us his number for any questions, made sure we had his card, and was extremely professional. Next house, we're definitely using Elite Group again.
Inspector rushed the inspection to be on time for the next inspection. My biggest concern was about mold and even though there were a lot of water damage in the garage, the inspector refused to take a mold swap and said if there isn't visible growth, the lab will just come back negative(Even though they promise a free mold swab with each inspection).
Inspector also didn't do any infrared(thermal) imaging even though it was part of the package.
Report stated bulbs not working in multiple rooms but no photos and didn't show me anything in person so not even sure which bulbs are referred to.
No note of the cracks in the crown moldings even though they were visible and was the first thing I've noticed.
Also the seller was present and the inspector kept talking in front of them saying how the house is such in a great shape repetitively making negotiations a lot harder than they're supposed to be.
So basically, for a house on slab foundation(No crawlspace inspection) and really small attic where the inspector said most of it is inaccessible/invisible anyway and no HVAC, he didn't even answer my questions and was done so fast. I purchased the most expensive package with addons to get peace of mind and didn't even get it slightly. Not only I feel like it was a complete waste of money to get the inspection but also it made it harder to negotiate with the seller as the inspector gave such a good health bill to the house both in person to the seller and also in the report.
When I contacted Elite to at least have someone else do the mold swab and thermal imaging, they didn't even bother replying. Never felt so upset after working with a business. If I were you, I'd choose a different company to work with
