Used Elite recently for my mother's hospice. Nurse and CNA were always excellent. Social workers leave much to be desired. Intake to program was shotty at best. Had to ask/beg for a care conference and initially was told that was unusual. REALLY? I'm 30 years in healthcare and care conferences are VERY much the normal. When my mother passed, Elite would not return calls from American Red Cross for communication to my son in the Army. 6 attempts to reach them. Social aspect, intake, and even discharge, (death), is as important as the nursing care. Contracted durable medical, (Lincare), had a very inconsiderate delivery driver. Each time he talked non stop about how busy he was and how hot it was outside. He complained constantly about competitor and the city of Lewiston. We were not in the mood as our mother had just passed. Rural areas don't have many options, but if you have family willing to take this on, then do so. You can work with the hospice physician directly. Just be cautious when using this company.
