May weather is temperamental in the Trout Lake area. Since we know from previous stays at Elk Meadows that Wi-Fi is limited to the Clubhouse (which is better described as a pavilion) and the Office, we packed along our VCR and our BluRay. We were parked in Site 16 in our fifth-wheel trailer (Grand Design 337 RLS). We had great views of the meadow, the waterfowl, and Mt. Adams (when the skies were clear). The Site suited our RV very well. A call to the Office to prune a limb was taken care of a few hours later, which was reasonable for our timing. Despite the weather woes for the first end in May 2024, it is likely we'll be back that same weekend next year. Using Elk Meadows as a base camp for 4 days allows us to take day excursions down to White Salmon, up into the forest when the snowpack is cleared, and many photo opportunities of barns, rivers and creeks, mountains and wildflowers.

Loved this park and have already booked for next year.
Only downside was a person near us letting their dogs be loose all the time and listening to their kids shouting a lot trying to get them back when they wandered off.

Best rv park I think I have been to. Clean, large lots, quiet. Certain times of the year there are Elk, sand hill cranes,. Nice creek & walking trail.
