An older campground with apparently, new owners. This campground is LITTERALLY right off the highway. You take an exit, go around a corner, and there’s the campground. From anywhere you are in the campground, you can watch and hear all the trucks and cars go by. The noise is ever present. We had a back in, 30 Amp, no sewer connection for $99. We thought that was expensive considering it wasn’t a full hookup. Lots of families here. We stayed on a Friday night in August and there were LOTS of empty sites. Most of the RV’s were in great shape, but there were one or two that weren’t. There was a small pool and it was full to the brim with kids. We agree with a prior reviewer who said you really have to be careful here – the children are everywhere, and it doesn’t seem that the parents are that watchful. Nice playgrounds. The bathrooms were quite old and moderately clean. The showers did not look great - I did not want to take a shower here. There’s a nice little store with a good selection of essentials. The WIFI was solid! There are cabins and teepees – I have no idea what’s in the teepees, but they had electrical connections and were quite large. There’s a nice dog run. One thing that needs improvement is the way this KOA takes you to your site. An employee in a golf cart leads you to your site, but the employee who helped us drove up to the site, pointed at it, didn’t even slow down, and then drove away. He didn’t stop or even look back, he just pointed and drove off. Our site was a back in that was a little tricky to get into, and we always appreciate some guidance with the back in.
Expensive considering the state of the showers and the fact that it was not a full hook up. Not a great KOA, but not bad. Maybe the new owners will bring things up to date. As it is, we would recommend for a short stay.
