Very bad experiences with this location compared to the Washington Square location. Be warned, they will absolutely refuse to return or exchange anything without the original tags being ON the item, I have never seen this practice before. The manager Adriana has no clue how to properly assist someone that is frustrated with their customer service, granted she was a lot friendlier than I was in this interaction, I will give her credit for that. She refused to exchange pants for identical pants of a different size, absolutely refused, even after I said I would never go back to Express. One $80 pair of pants is not worth losing a customer forever over but that's what has happened. She also refused to give me her boss's number. I need the pants tomorrow so had no choice but to buy the new pair. Then she refused to honor the two discount codes that I had on my phone from emails from two days ago. She claims they didn't work but also refused to just give me the discount even though it was their two codes from their emails wouldn't work. She said, "I'm not getting fired for that." I called to complain and the two guys (Patrick and Adam) on the phone were great! Not only did they apologize for her actions but they put $25 on my account and set it up to make sure I could return the pants to the Washington Square location before I drove around 20 miles. So I drove over to the Washington Square location and Jessica greeted me with a smile and was very friendly even though she knew to expect a very possible super irate customer. Not only did she accept the first pair as a return, without the tags, but also returned the new pair so I could have the original discount that I got on the first pair. I will NEVER, ever go back to the Clackamas location but Jessica and the other awesome employees at the Washington Square location and the employees at the call center have ensured that I will return to the Washington Square location as a happy customer. Thank you Jessica sincerely, if you ever happen to read this, you really did turn my day completely around!

I think I’m starting to understand why this is the only Express store in the Portland metro area after dealing with Cindi. How unfortunate since I normally love their basics! I had to return some t shirts for being too short and shirts for being too big after buying them online. I mentioned this to her casually and mused out loud about how I wished they would offer tall options (I’m not very tall, only 5’ 9”, but I buy a lot of tall shirts since I tend to fit a medium and I have a long torso). Cindi, in the rudest manner possible (and after wayyy too long of a pause), informed me that Express is “not a big and tall store”. Hmmmm. I’m a size 6 and about a half a foot taller than her, however it kind of felt like a comment about my weight, which I did not appreciate. My step sister is 6’ and weighs 120, it’s not about being “big and tall”, it’s about recognizing that other people have different bodies. I know she can’t change anything because she’s a lowly retail worker, but that comment really rubbed me the wrong way. She also totally messed up my return (as I’m didn’t give me all my money back) and refused to go over the prices or double check when I mentioned my return amount seemed low. Guess I’ll have to contact the company to get this resolved, something I did not want to have to do. I will not be returning to this location and I’ll definitely be looking up other online retailers with similar styles 💕

Santiago, Katie, and Ricardo welcomed me with warm smiles as I entered the Clackamas store. They were all helpful and patient as I browsed the aisles. Found 3 great long sleeved shirts for next winter. Thank you All for keeping the store tidy and having a sweet and kind vibe. Great customer service!
