We tailgated at this community park and it was very nice. The weather was iffy so the large shelter was appreciated. Park construction was completed ten years ago, but the park seemed new. I suspect because it is located in an area that is not yet fully developed and it may have seen minimal use to this point. It is a hidden treasure.
The playground was enjoyed by many in our party (but my sister fell off the merry-go-round and hurt her pride) and the southern views from the park are also very nice. A long paved trail winds around the park. It is very close to the Amphitheater so it would be interesting to see what a concert sounds like from there. For the adventurous, there is also a connector trail between the Fairgrounds Park and Whipple Creek Park.
My tip of the cap to Clark County for their work on this park
