Walked in looking to purchase a very popular set of boots. Asked the gentleman behind the counter if they carry such boots as I didn't see it on the wall. I was met with such a passive aggressive attitude out of nowhere, like I was a huge bother trying to purchase footwear in a shoe store. God forbid I ask about the stock of a $350 boot to help support your local business. The only reason this wasn't a one star is because the inside of the store had neat decor. If you're looking for overpriced footwear while feeling like a burden, this is the place for you. I'd shop elsewhere.

Family Shoe Store is fantastic! Eric helped my wife pick out two new pair of Hoka shoes, then custom-fit inserts for her. After wearing the shoes for two weeks, we went in to have them fine-tuned, and Kevin updated and adjusted the inserts, all included in the original purchase price. We've received the same expert, friendly service each time we visit. For the past eight years, it's the only place my wife will buy shoes.

When you first see the price tag, you want to have a heart attack but upon talking to the gentleman who runs it, you understand why the price is up there. The shoes are very well constructed. My wife and I both got a pair of waterproof boots that are capable of hiking the local trails. He is very knowledgeable and can answer just about any question you have. No high pressure sales here. Absolutely wonderful place to get shoes. Will be going back and getting more shoes for sure.
