I have bank for business and personal since 1981 Always love the service and even finance by home with them . Great bank
I had pleasant interactions during my first couple of visits to this branch, and during phone calls made to the branch. I went in to inquire about a feature on my account that I was told about by 3 different representatives. Everyone said oh yeah, you have overdraft protection you can go straight to the atm and pull out cash if you ever need it in a pinch. Well, I was in a pinch and this was my last resort. Boy what a mistake.
I came to this location to inquire about the feature and how I could utilize it. You should have SEEN this tellers face when I asked her about the feature. She didn’t even look up from her desk, scoffed at me, asked the name of the person who told me about it (as if it didn’t exist), then rolled her eyes and said she had to ask her manager. I watch her go to the manager and he comes to the front counter to speak to me. He proceeds to start SHOUTING at me, FULL VOLUME in the middle of a silent bank, to tell me that I can’t just overdraft my account intentionally and that’s not how these features work - okay IM NOT AN IDIOT !!! I was told by several ppl how “easy” and “convenient “ the feature was and how it’s so “helpful”. What’s not helpful is your reps treating ppl like scum for asking for help that was offered by your company. You don’t have to sit there and mansplain how overdraft protection works to me. I KNOW.
I don’t know what was worse: the woman giving me attitude and judgmental looks or the man screaming at me about how broke I am in the middle of the bank. It took everything in me not to cry as I literally RAN out of the location. I don’t think I’ll ever return to this location. What an awful experience for me and for no reason!!! I just asked about something y’all have been shoving down my throat as such a “cool” feature! I was already down bad and here’s your employees just kicking me while I’m down. So thank you F&M for the excruciatingly painful and embarrassing trip today. Really appreciate that. It won’t be forgotten.
