FedEx has always been a nightmare to deal with even before Covid but this takes the cake. We ordered a very expensive piece of equipment and not only was it 4 days late with no update to the tracking number but the driver left the box at the bottom of our stairs at an apartment complex where anyone could have stolen it! So it wasn’t even at our door. Didn’t even have the decency to come to our door to let us know (we were home by the way). They have always been a terrible delivery service and have only gotten worse over the years. We avoid them at all costs.

Delivery driver will mark items as delivered when they haven't been. I am having issues with the driver assigned to our area. The driver is coming from the Lewiston Idaho station and delivering to Bovill Idaho. Recently the driver started leaving our packages at the Bovill Fire Department. This is unacceptable. This is 4 to 6 blocks from my house residence and the department is vacant 99% of the time. I found my boxes opened. After asking the usps postal worker if she had seen the driver, she informed us that she was the one who told the fedex driver to deliver to this business. but those are not my delivery instructions I have provided on the fedex web portal. If for some reason your driver feels uncomfortable about driving up our driveway he/she can leave them at the gate at the start of the driveway. If the driver would make a simple phone call there is someone always home to provide any instructions. My second complaint is 3 times the between now and this past summer, my packages were marked as delivered. When checking there were no packages left. I have had to file a claim in each incident and the next day the package is back on the delivery truck and will be delivered that day. I believe the driver runs out of business hours to complete his deliveries and so he doesn’t get into trouble or has been informed by his supervisor to mark packages this way I’m not sure. But it is fraud to say a service was completed when in fact it was not.

Fedex didn't deliver my package on March 23 so I opened a claim March 28 to find out where the package was. I guess Fedex did some investigation and then closed the claim on April 3rd because they couldn't find the package but I was never informed of the closed case until I called on April 13 ( a week and 1/2 later). and then was told I had to file a claim with the vendor that I purchased the item from. Very poor management! Why is it my responsibility I didn't lose the package?
