Got a total of 8 tires since February of 2021, and as of yesterday, 12!! I got my new set at discount tires, way better deal and higher quality. I’ve had this current set for less than a year, tread is already down to 3? My car gets 24/30 and I’m averaging 28 IN TRAFFIC so I’m definitely babying them, no fast acceleration, or hard breaking and my tread still went from a 9 to a 3. Just terrible quality tires, go anywhere but here. Again I’d like to reiterate, in February 2021 I got the first new set, then I got the second set August of 2023 and now not even a year later I’m getting another set of 4 from discount tire.
If the car rental didn't use them for fleet service I'd never step foot in there again. Car broke down and was towed there, they wouldn't even loosen the battery terminals so the blasted immobilizer which is faulty could reset without an authorization. So I was forced to either wait hours with zero guarantee they would ever get to it. Or I could walk about a mile in high temps and with a heart condition, lugging a cat carrier (they refused to let me leave the carrier for the 30 mins it would take), to buy a ratchet set to disconnect it myself.
I get liability concerns to a degree, but that is a BS call and a total failure of service.
