UPDATED REVIEWI am unhappy to report that my family and I have had yet another bad experience at this Firestone. My daughter (a college student) took our Volkswagen Touareg (same car as I mentioned below) to Firestone in Redmond WA to address a brake warning on the dash. I did not know that she planned on going there. She received the estimate and being a COLLEGE STUDENT told the sales rep that she would have to wait until the following week in order to get the work done (this was so that she could get the money). Upon explaining the situation to the sales rep, the mechanic, who was still standing by the door made the following remark, "sounds about right". I am unsure what he was trying to insinuate but I will say that I hope it was not a remark based on the color of her skin. We are black. I am floored because even though I no longer use this Firestone I have NEVER been mistreated there and they were always very nice and personable. I will stop by next week to speak with the staff and have my daughter point out who made that tacky statement.
I started using this Firestone 6 years ago when I moved here from the east coast. The service has steadily declined over those years. My most recent visit was for an oil change and brake service. An hour after the oil change my oil light came BACK on. I called the store and brought the car back in. They said all was well and that sometimes the light will come back on but that it will go away shortly. I finally took my car to another shop and they showed me how Firestone incorrect screwed my oil plate back on breaking it as a result! NEVER take your car here. I don’t know what happened but they are not to be trusted anymore. To back up that claim I have had two other mechanic shops tell me the same thing.
