I worked with First Command in another state before moving to Washington. The service I received there was great. However, when I moved to Washington I had to get a new local advisor.
The advisor I received was Peter Carlo. Peter was really pushy on me about buying life insurance (they're commission based advisors), I told him that I will come around to buying life insurance soon, but not right now. He continued to bring up life insurance, email me stuff to sign to get life insurance started and so on. I just ignored the emails and reminded him that I didn't want life insurance yet.
After a couple meetings together I wanted him to meet my wife. He came to our apartment and started pushing the life insurance thing to my wife. And when he couldn't get her to agree to getting life insurance right now, he told her that military veterans have a high suicide rate (I'm the veteran). That kind of stuff doesn't fly with us, so we stopped talking to Peter.
I tried to get a new advisor at First Command, but Peter won't leave us alone.
