We are taking our 17 month old daughter to Karissa for the first time today. Karissa has been great in motivating her to take steps. She's gained a lot of confidence through the games and toys that Karissa introduced to her and already made some progress in learning to walk. we're looking forward to working with her again in our next coming session. Highly recommend!

I couldn’t recommend Karissa enough. My 3M old had a misshapen head and I suspected torticollis might be the reason. All the pediatric PT’s my pediatrician referred me to were booked for months due to being short staffed. Torticollis is best resolved without a helmet if you start before 4M so I was in a rush to get an appointment asap. Luckily I found Karissa and first Step - they had just opened recently and there were very few reviews but I’m glad I took a chance. Best decision ever. karissa was so patient with our baby and so kind in guiding us with all the different exercises. She helped reassure my worries and was so gentle. She also had a reasonable schedule with us- only one session a week for the first 1.5 months and then gradually decreasing as things improved. After 3 months, our daughter’s torticollis was healed- her movement was symmetric and head grew to be round. She has since hit all her milestones on time- every time I see her run quickly and jump it makes me so proud and so happy we worked with Karissa.

I highly recommend Karissa and First Step Pediatric Therapy! Karissa did PT with my 10 month old daughter after she fractured her femur. Karissa is incredibly kind, caring, friendly, patient, knowledgable, and helpful. My daughter is very shy and takes a long time to be comfortable with new people. Karissa was so great with her! She took the time to get to know my daughter and her personality, and she catered her physical therapy activities to her interests to continuously keep her engaged and motivated. Karissa was such an important part of my daughter's recovery, and I am so grateful for her care!!
