I’ve gone a few times in the past at different days and I would suggest going to Salvation Army. Not much food (mostly bread and veggies look way past safe). Parking lot is tiny and you feel rushed. I had borrowed a friend’s (newer) car as mine was in the shop. One of the workers asked me if I needed help in a very condescending tone. I said no thanks, I was just looking for the trunk lever in my friend’s car. He scoffed and walked away. Idk I felt judged the entire time from walking in to leaving. I already felt terrible and stressed having to go to a food bank but at least at Salvation Army, they offer smiles and understanding. You can only go x1/mo here whereas Salvation Army lets you go x1/mo for the main food box & weekly for bread.

Great staff and great options! I love this food bank. Recently diagnosed with a disability and have no income after losing my job I have utilized this food bank for a couple months now. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I love that you can shop for what you need for your family and not get a food box full of stuff that you won’t eat or use.. I try to eat a vegan diet and there is always lots of produce and almost always alternative milk and they even have non dairy yogurt quite often. They also have a window for people without a home to walk up to and get things that they need. Thank you FISH for helping people in their time of need. I appreciate you all so much!

I have been here a few times when I was in need or even to donate my self. No Matt how many years a part it is this location always has the nicest volunteers. I have been to a few other food banks where they make you feel like you are a bother to them or you did something wrong, but never at this location. Thank you all and may God bless everyone of you for what you mean and do for others.
