To find this restaurant you have to go past Chef Tony. It is a nice place with TVs showing the games playing.
I got the Spicy Tune Tartar and my husband got the impossible burger. Both dishes were good and the Spicy Tuna Tartar was not that spicy just had a bit of heat to it. The Tuna was like eating a huge piece of sushi.
The atmosphere was great and our server took the time to tell us what our options were. Overall a great experience! Would go again.
Five55 is located inside the Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Monterey Park.
During our stay at the hotel, we stopped in for some late night appetizers and drinks. This is advertised as a bar and restaurant, and we sat over by the bar. The night we came, there was a large event with really loud kids. I didn’t mind at all but was just surprised to see kids near the bar.
We ordered Garlic Parmesan Truffle Fries and Short Rib Quesadillas. The quesadillas looked dry but I was surprised they tasted really good. The meat was actually juicy. It was served with small sides of guacamole and pico de gallo. Wish it came with a side of sour cream but it was fine as is.
Our server was really cool and checked up on us often to make sure our needs were met.
Overall, really satisfied with the convenience of having this bar stay open late hours without having to leave our hotel.
