We went here to celebrate my sweetheart’s birthday. Food was mediocre, service was great.
I had the pork chop and asked for it medium, however it came medium-well, bordering on well. This basically dried it out. It was lightly seasoned and was really insipid. I was expecting much, much more and wound up disappointed. Same for the asparagus…just thrown into the oven with some oil and roasted. It wasn’t trimmed well and still had the woody stem on some stalks. The sweet potatoes were the star and were quite flavorful and delicious. Enjoyable.
My sweetheart had the prime ribeye and she had similar feelings…nothing to really say “Wow! That was damn delicious!”
The bright spot on the evening was with the wait staff. From the greeter to the server to the expediters, all were excellent, competent, and extremely friendly. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent recommendations for drinks and dessert. The waitstaff saved the review and elevated it to a four star experience. Good job team!
At the end of the day when we come to a steakhouse like Fleming’s, expect a five star experience and nothing less. Most likely we won’t return.
