Super nice doctor, personable and knowledgeable but unfortunately the office runs really poorly.
The front desk is very unpleasant. Back staff doesn't seem to pass along information and they stack patients in the waiting room. They need more back staff to do nail clippings etc.
My apt (without having to fill out forms prior) was at 10. I got into the room at 10:30am and sat there with NO communication until 11:05am.
Doctor came in and didn't say sorry for your HOUR WAIT.
He was was in the room for a total of 4 minutes with his assistant who didn't look up at all and then left without saying stay here or you can go.
Walked up to the front desk And they pretty much were like did he say Paula and I said no and they were like he didn't say anything and I said no she goes okay. Well give us a call back if you want to have a follow-up and I left. They didn't say we would call any more prescriptions or anything.
Odd place. No good energy or proper flow. Makes me sad because the place up in Tumwater is way worse and when I went here about a year ago it was awesome. Now not so much.
I had a good experience w Dr. Dang dealing w tonail fungus and a partial removal of my toenail (ingrown toenail)…which unfortunately didn’t solve the issue at all (it was a chance I was willing to take).
However, the lowered review Is due to my elderly (mid 80’s) father who has been doing nail maintenance with them for decades. At his most recent appt he was charged an additional out of pocket (over $150 personal cost) above the insurance covered service for a minute-long “callous removal”. Needless to say, he will now be engaging services of a different podiatrist office several of his elderly friends use. Even better, he is open to see my fave person for a basic pedicure (for baby soft feet).
I’d advise any elderly person getting nail maintenance here to ensure there are no additional fees (resulting in out of pocket burden) that will be charged…..BEFORE you have accepted any services offered beyond nail cutting done. It would have been appreciated if the worker would have informed him it was a complete separate non insurance covered service.
