Absolutely wonderful! After a painful night in the ER, Shinn Kids Dental was able to get my daughter in right away before 9am the next morning. Absolutely everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the ladies at the desk, to the dental technician, and Dr. Shinn himself, were all just incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. Customer service is clearly very highly valued here.
My previous dentist was good, but doesn't take our current insurance. I was so relieved and surprised that we were able to get in so quickly as a new patient. Not only that, they took her right back with no waiting when we got in. I know that was partly because they'd had a cancellation, but it was clear that helping a child in pain was a priority for them, even though her pain was not bad when we arrived.
Dr. Shinn greeted us before we even got to the room and walked us back. He explained everything to her and to me very clearly throughout, but separately... to her in ways she could easily understand, and to me in more detail when appropriate. He was absolutely wonderful with her! So patient and understanding... he spent time making her feel comfortable with a blanket as well as relieving her fears about the impending procedure... he didn't act rushed and just made me feel so comfortable even though they were squeezing us in. His tech was great too. Usually at checkups/ cleanings we spend most of the time with a tech. Today we mostly talked with Dr. Shinn, but when the tech was there taking the xray and helping out, she was great about making my daughter feel comfortable and reassuring her that they wouldn't cause her pain.
We'll go back in a few days to have the actual work done after antibiotics have time to work. My daughter is excited to go back... said she can't wait! I am so very pleased and grateful to this entire office! After a long terrible night in the ER ending at 3am, watching my child suffer... I was definitely not at my best... exhausted, frazzled, and stressed... but I left the office this morning feeling so great. That says A LOT about the truly warm and wonderful service these fantastic people provided! Thank you SO much Dr. Shinn, and thank you to all your wonderful staff as well!
