Tons of parking. Great beaches and trails. Lots of picnic spots and tables. Well-maintained campground. Dogs allowed on leash only.

The views and forest are nice, but the "fort" is just a metal bunker. Maybe if you've never seen one before it's fascinating, but to me it wasn't impressive at all. If you want to see a proper fort, try nearby Fort Casey.
