We have shopped this store since 1977. Many wonderful staff members have served us. Recently the store has failed in many ways: lack of adequately stocked shelves. missing or unfriendly staff members. unsafe parking lot with faded or missing safety signage. It is Saturday morning: there are no muffins in the bakery! Needed a product locked up and a sign said ring the buzzer for associate=no buzzer. Found an associate=less than friendly or helpful. Check out= not self service but had to bag my own...I am 78 years old, a brace on my leg and had heavy goods.
I am now a loyal Safeway shopper.
Still Not as big as fan as I used to be. Everytime I've been there lately their always thinking I'm there to shoplift or something especially plants.lol Makes me very uncomfortable .I'm there to shop in a safe environment. It was fun to hunt for sales.Sorry about your loss including me. I've spent alot of money there in the past and refuse to be treated as such. Update : I'll continue to keep my spending low. if you question overpriced items not helpful and direct you to customer service. I happily complied with request. The employee looked up the item and said it was still not on sale but would give it to me this time ? What the heck does that mean? I'm not asking for a hand out I'm asking for clarification. If the sale is outdated pull the lower price signs then Also tired of a few cashier's dropping the F bomb during transaction. Not funny be professional. Sad .
