Purchased a new Reliance water heater 12 days ago and it has failed. I called Friedmans and the manager told me through the person that answered the phone that I had to call the manufacturer of the water heater. Friedmans only sells them and any issues have to be taken care of by the manufacturer. Friedmans will not replace it. I called the manufacturer and their not going to replace it either. Instead their sending me new parts to fix the brand new water heater. I will have to pay a plumber to replace the gas valve and thermopile. Of course I'll have no hot water until the parts come and I can get a plumber to come out. Easy, just go without a shower for a few days. What a way to do business. I'll never buy anything at Friedmans again. Tired of the gouging prices on everything they sell anyway. Wish there was a zero stars on these reviews.

Usually pretty well stocked with what one needs for their home improvement projects. There have only been a couple of times when I've had to return something and the return process wasn't difficult at all. The floor staff is pretty helpful as long as they're around and available to answer questions. Hardware stores in general can be a really painful experience if you're not sure where to find something. But that's not the case at Friedman's. The staff here seem to be rather committed to assisting their customers whenever possible.
