Kirk conducted a home energy audit on my 35 years old house. I wanted objective energy assessment before I start upgrading my HVAC. He was courteous, friendly, professional, detailed, and very easy to work with. I am very impressed by his extensive knowledge in the field. His report is concise, yet very informative. I am glad I used his service. I highly recommend him!

I am selling my home and cannot say enough about how clutch Kirk was in helping me identify the minor and potentially major fixes that needed my attention. Selling and moving can be incredibly stressful, but working with Ground Up Home Inspection was so helpful to decrease that stress. Kirk takes the time to explain his findings in as much or as little detail as you want, and he provides helpful recommendations during and after the inspection process. I would highly recommend being present in the home during the inspection if you are a Seller, because his wisdom is pure gold. You will end up saving thousands in repair costs and I feel that he helped me potentially avoid bid drops since I could take care of many things myself before the house was listed. Kirk is even willing to be contacted after the inspection or even have potential buyers contact him if they need any further clarification. Great attitude. Highly recommend. Whether you're a Buyer or Seller he will focus on your role in the real estate process and deliver a high quality evaluation, clear and concise write-up.

Kirk Oren, owner of From the Ground Up did a comprehensive energy evaluation he for us. Although our monthly heating bills weren’t high, the house, which we recently bought and which was built in 1959, didn’t seem warm. We opted for a written report to refer to which included photos of the problem areas. Kirk “walked” us through the house showing us, for example, air leaks by using a smoke stick. He advised us on prioritizing projects to make the house more energy efficient.
Already we’ve adopted many of his recommendations with excellent results. We definitely recommend him and From the Ground Up for energy concerns. The modest cost was well worth the results. Our house feels much warmer now.
