Russ at Fun Paws has far exceeded my expectations with regards to dog behaviorists, and really, ANYTHING dog related. I have a sweet, old lab, Sergeant, who's 13 and Russ has been exceptional at giving me honest and thoughtful recommendations when it comes to his food, meds, feeding schedule and generally just tips about how to keep him happy and comfortable throughout his aging process. Moreover, Russ has the most loving, gentle and kind demeanor and it's so evident that all animals feel safe and cared for in his presence. I couldn't recommend his services enough if you're in the Los Angeles area, or even beyond! He is the most attentive and insightful dog behaviorist and I'm grateful for his expertise and experience during this time with my aging dog.

Russell is an amazing, caring, thoughtful, and vital resource for all of your pet training needs. He has helped my wife and I become confident in our adventure of being first-time puppy owners. He has been patient with us through the entire process and we are very grateful for his wealth of knowledge that he seamlessly integrated into our puppies specific needs. Not only has he been wonderful in person but he is also extremely thorough with following up and reviewing important key concepts and notes through email. He responds very promptly and has a wonderful approach with all of his techniques.
Russell has also been extremely helpful in helping our 3 year old cat become accustomed to our new puppy. With a detailed plan beginning from before their introduction all the way through being present for their first interaction, we are more confident that not only will our pets become comfortable with each other but also have a healthy relationship with each other and us.
Thank you to Russell and the Fun Paw Care team! We can’t wait to continue working with you!

We met Russ in Los Angeles about a year and a half ago while on a walk with our dog. Russ was walking one of his clients’ dogs who was young, had some anxiety issues, and often stayed with Russ for training. We were very impressed with how gentle, patient, and loving Russ was with that dog and how much the dog responded to him and loved him. We often had our dogs play together when his client’s dog visited him, and we observed Russ’s interaction with the dog and how he helped the dog’s confidence grow over time. Now we are considering getting a second dog and we called Russ to get his advice on a range of issues, including adoption versus breeder, whether our second dog should be another male or a female, when the dog should be spayed/neutered, and questions about training and socialization. He had no skin in the game, so to speak, but he still spent time discussing all these issues with us and giving us his informed opinion. We are thankful for his advice and feel confident making the decision about our new family member!
