Over-rated. I'm sure the owners will be happy with the success they're having but they need to improve. Anyways, this comment is not for them. If you planning to visit consider that The the kitchen is not doing well during rush hours. I will avoid going during that time if I'm taking my kids. Also, the guys at the front taking orders they are the nicest guys except when they under pressure I guess. Parking can be an issue but I guess is how it is.
If you wish to be yelled at by a manager in front of everyone just because you asked why your Mocha was way below the 12oz line unlike others that came after you (when you were told by the server Ari it's supposed to be below the line), have them puff up as if they want to fight you while you're sitting down and then slap a to-go box and throw a cup towards you when you wish to pack up and no longer be a part of that atmosphere... then this place is for you. The manager Jennifer does not like to hear both sides when you are being disrespected by another employee named Ari, who was supposedly training and deserving of grace according to Jennifer, even though Ari was rude in tone, contradicting herself and didn't like the fact my mother was wanting to make sure they got what was paid for after Ari stated drinks are supposed to be filled below the line in the to-go cup (when filled to the top in their mason jars) and yet they were filling others to the top with similar drinks in the same to-go cups. Christiane, who rang up the order and made the drinks even admitted, prior to the conversation with Ari (who brought the tots to the table), when my mother noticed the drastic difference in size, that it is most likely less than 12oz because their 12oz mason jars are dirty and have to use the plastic to-go cups instead. There lacks consistency in "explanation" from one employee to the next.
After the interaction with Ari and asking for her name the manager stormed up to my 60 year old mother, who was siting down, asking what her problem was, already placing blame without reason. My mom tried to tell them the story and with every word, like "okay whatever" (when what was said wasn't understood by Jennifer or ignored because Jennifer preferred to defend her employee who was rude during the whole interaction and to continue the conversation/skip over what isn't being listened to) or "you've been here since the beginning of the store opening", we were met with an echo or an "excuse me what did you just say" or "You're rude for saying whatever" by Jennifer. My mom asked for her name, as well, for the review and she stated it loud and proud and told us to make sure we get it right. Bravo. A place that is supposed to be for people like us, a little different, is met with disdain simply due to wanting a better understanding of serving sizes and accountability. I don't know who Jennifer thinks they are but you never aggressively come up on customers as if you want to fight. Other than the service, the food is usually cold and/or poorly plated with serving sizes greatly inconsistent from one to the next. We always gave it another try because we like to see small businesses thrive. Please do better. And check your cameras Jennifer, they say a lot more than your puffed up ego.
Attached are photos from a previous visit and today's visit. Same order way different in portions (both a large). Today's photo, with way less tots is only missing 4-5 tots, eaten prior to the photo being taken. Honesty is key. We've had this issue before with other orders. Once I ordered a panini and was given a different side as well as way smaller portions than those around me. I asked why and they stated they ran out of the side it comes with and had to replace (without consent from the customer). The employees here need to be retrained or a new manager needs to be brought on otherwise, this store will not last the next 2 years since the cafe alone and its employees are sub par.
