I took part in a two-week focus group for Aera Go car fragrance by Prolitec, organized by Game Changer Products, LLC, after seeing an ad on Gridwise. As an Uber driver, I thought this would be a solid gig. I tested the product, kept daily journals, and dealt with constant pressure to push me into becoming an affiliate marketer.
In return for my time, I was promised $250—but only after a 30-minute Zoom exit interview. It’s been weeks, and nothing. No Zoom call, no follow-up, no responses to my emails or calls. I started digging, and to no surprise, I found multiple complaints on the Better Business Bureau (BBB) about Game Changer Products ghosting people after they fulfilled their end of the deal.
It’s absolutely unprofessional, and quite frankly, concerning that Prolitec would partner with such a company, and that Gridwise allowed this ad on their platform. While I’d love to believe this is just incompetence or terrible organization, it’s hard not to feel uneasy at this point. Either way, it’s completely unacceptable. One star is more than they deserve.
