Came in for brunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere was nice and the service was excellent. It’s a pretty limited brunch menu. I got the French and it was good. It was served with walnuts and apple pieces… I wish the apples had been peeled instead of leaving the skin on. That’s just my personal preference since I don’t care for the skin on apples raw or cooked. I liked the French toast wasn’t overly sweet.

Tried Gander and Ryegrass twice on a visit to to Spokane fr a conference. I had read others' reviews, and they were spot on: Everything in this restaurant is worth your visit. The pasta is fresh and perfectly cooked. The sourdough is fantastic. Try it with all of the toppings although I was partial to the in-house smoked ricotta. For lunch, we had the charred beef and for dinner the trout--both were delicious. The sommelier at dinner recommended a perfect red wine to pair with our food. And, please try the chocolate cake with pistachio ice cream.

Beautiful dining experience! You would never expect this level of food coming from a little restaurant nestled next to Spokane's best bookstore. I had the coursed-out dinner, and it was one of the best meals I have had in Spokane. It was about a two-and-a-half-hour dining experience with many different courses that were excellent. I will say, I was not huge on the salad or the pear sorbet, but the rest of the plates were amazing!
