Perplexed. Needed a new PCP, especially for a Wellness Checkup. Found Dr. Tarlow, who was near my work, checked insurance, filled out 14 pages new patient survey and was told someone would get back to me to schedule an appointment. After waiting 4 days (+ weekend), no answer. Errors or issues happen, so I call the office, only to be told that the Dr. did not do Wellness Checkups for new patients, only for existing ones. The person on the phone told me they were waiting for Dr. Tarlow to tell them if he would accept me as a new patient, due to this issue. I never expected this answer, confused as to why Dr. Tarlow would not accept a new patient request, or the fact that he did not do Wellness Checkup for new patients. My initial request was simple: 'Hello, New patient. Need to schedule a wellness screening.' If I was told of the Dr.'s policy of not doing Wellness Screenings for new patients, I would've laughed it off and gone somewhere else, and not bother filling out all that paperwork. But their lack or clarity, lack of promptness and the Dr.'s unusual reason to not accept new patients, prompted me to write this long winded review.

His staff is sooo RUDE!! They literally have attitude for no reason! My mom loves Dr. Tarlow and has been with him for many years but dealing with his staff for her sake just boils my blood!

Dr. Tarlow is a great Doctor. He’s very understanding and intelligent and I don’t feel like just another number when I see him. Unfortunately his office staff have been atrocious over the last 3 years. They have sworn at me, told me to find another doctor, made it impossible to schedule an appointment, and seem to have no shame at all. I’ve seen them treat an elderly woman with extreme disrespect, to the point I had to step in and stop it. It’s unfortunate because he’s such a good doctor. I would give the Doctor 5 stars, but due to how incredibly rude the office staff is, I have no choice. I hope you find an entire new staff that is as welcoming and awesome as you are Dr. Tarlow.
