Contractors Beware. No Pay when your done. Screwed Several Sub contractors i Know. General Industries will promise the world. but you get nothing.... Nothing. Have an attorney before you deal with these crooks.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very Unprofessional. I pay Prevailing Wage as a company and they short us Money so they are actually not paying Prevailing Wage for the job. Be Very Leary of this company. get at least all of your money upfront. They are Very Dishonest. I cant even cover the Fee i Paid for Prevailing Wage....
General Industries, Spokane Valley Wa Crooked Contractor.
I made agreement face to face with paul the owner. he is a very dishonest contractor, He said we agreed to $250 to pull out 300foot of 4Inch Pipe and pump out of the ground at almira which is over 150 miles away.
I KNOW FOR A FACT WE WOULD NOT START THE TRUCK TO GO DO THAT KIND OF A JOB. THE COMPANY IS A SCAM.... BEWARE.!!!!!!
In Response to Jason sharp. I cant believe you have left a 5 star review knowing that it was your brother and your own mother that worked on this job and also did not receive full payment. I never Received paperwork from paul valardi, he was the general contractor on the job and he bid something he had No knowledge of bidding. it was a $350,000 job for the city of almira and he made his money on putting up a building and then screwed everyone else out of actual paying their employees.I agree all contractors should read the paper work. None was provided. We were doing Time and Material. I never had any change orders. we were called out on the job 150 miles to set a pump and then they changed specs when they put the camera down to a different pump. not our fault, if you want to call it a change order then so be it. but i have 2 trucks and a crew waiting. As far as prevailing wage i paid out of my pocket to cover it. General Industries didnt even cover the $80 to file the paper work. but because i filed with the state that i paid he is exempt. As far as anyone can get a google account your proof of that.I personally Respect contractors that perform their services and are respectable. The City of almira has been wonderful, The whole job has not been approached right by the General Contractor "General Industries, inc" or the Engineering Company.
Does not provide licensed individuals for appropriate job. (Meaning anyone can apply and be put in a prevailing wage position)
In the state of Washington you have to be a Well Driller of a Pump installer to sign off on a Water Flow test. none was done on this job. Thus no License.
Water Samples have to be taken by a Qualified Individual. this did not happen. The water of almira is not safe to drink until retested by their licensed guy.
They have regular guys doing the plumbing, electrical , you name it, Labor & Industries would have a hay day with these guys if they got caught. Some are licensed but if you asked if they are licensed they mean a drivers license.
And I've seen ya, you don't need anymore Candy.
To Whom it may concern, As to the review from David Wood, our company has been completing projects with General Industries Inc, (GII) for almost ten years. Our firm is completed three to seven projects a year with them, as a subcontractor, we read all specifications before we provide our bid proposal. Contractors should beware of subcontractors that are not qualified to preform or under bidding project in the hope of change orders. All contractors need to do is read all documentations that is provided prior to a project start time, so they may pull there proposal with out losing money. As a subcontractor we take a responsibility to provide a cost for our services, if we make a mistake in the bidding process then it's our problem. We cant blame the general contractor. To try and make your money in change orders is a crooks way of making a living. As to the professionalism of David Woods review, if there are any question, readers should ask the engineering firm that managed this project and ask them on the professionalism of these subcontractors. I guess it doesn't matter about what the truth is we can all just post a review on any business, all you have to have is a Google account. As to paying prevailing wage, it is not a fact that GII didn't pay prevailing wage, David it's probably fact that you didn't pay prevailing wage. All who read this, I respectfully feel that this slandering of a company that didn't make a mistake in bidding the project, but in hiring unprofessional subcontractors.
In closing Avast Inc has only one complaint with GII......................................... it is that they have not restocked the candy dish in the office.
