I had a lovely experience at this location once before, after a horrible experience at another Getaway location, but my experience this week will prevent me from booking here again.

I booked a cabin for one night less than a week out and a day after booking, I saw news that there was a major wildfire nearby and that the main road I’d need to use to get there was closed.

For obvious health and safety concerns, I immediately reached out to see if I could cancel or at least receive a credit for the future. The company said no to both.

I would be traveling as a solo female and in no world would I feel safe or comfortable staying here with a fire so close. The lack of understanding or willingness to budge makes this company lose customers who would come back again and again. Bad business practices.
