I feel rushed whenever I see the doctor, and there are major failures to communicate.
3 examples:
I needed a blood draw and was told to come any time on Monday, Wednesday or Friday to get it done. However when I came in on a Wednesday they were closed for lunch so they told me to to leave and come back. When I came back an hour later they still weren't back and I waited another 30 minutes to see the phlebotomist, and only then was I told by the phlebotomist that the blood test I needed could only be done at 8am on Mondays.
I was supposed to have a referral sent in for a specialist and 2 weeks later they still hadn't sent in the referral.
I had an order for Physical Therapy for over a month that nobody told me about so I wasn't able to set the appointment.
You need to give your patients more information and care that we get the referrals and appointments we need.
