I like the self washing places. I don't trust any brushes/people with my paint new paint.
The automated is good if You are pressed for time. I recommend the self wash because you can personally get all the spots clean. I don't really use the blow dry tool, but it's a nice feature.
Perhaps the best part is the detailing area where you can really make your car shine. It may take time, but no one can take care of your car better than you.
This place suits the needs of the normal wash and those looking to really make your paint stand out.
Tip....don't use the brush on your paint, no matter how soft it feels
All the features of this place beat every DIY wash in the area. The wash stalls accept credit cards and have a ton of options when washing your car. They have soap for tires, soap for paint, sealer, power wash, spot-free rinse and a bunch of other options. When you change the wash dial to one of the soap options, lots of suds come out. Not skimpy like other places. Also, their equipment is kept in really good shape.
My only complaint is the stalls to detail your car after washing are a little tight. The stall closest to S Santa Fe Ave has walls and curbs on both sides which takes up even more real estate. Not worth removing a star, but makes working fast really difficult and a good place to twist your ankle.
One note on credit cards. Last time I went, I just happened to check my online credit card statement and there was a $10 charge in addition to the fee for washing. I gave it a couple days and the $10 charge went away, so not sure what's up with that.
