In trying to update an existing, perfect condition frame with my new prescription, Dr. Baer's lab broke my frames. I had not signed any release or damage waiver and Dr. Baer would not accept any liability. His office assistant did confirm that they now have a damage waiver in place, which acknowledges their assumed liability while my glasses were in their custody. Regardless, they would not even meet me halfway.
I was able to locate an exact vintage replacement of my favorite frames for $200 and requested Dr. Baer to pay for the lens replacement only at my cost after insurance - $98. He refused.
They are a new business and it is obvious. From disorganization to customer service concerns, I would not recommend. Seems short-sighted (pardon the pun) to lose a potentially long-term customer because you won't do the right thing.
