Google fiber provided good and fast internet but their customer service is lacking a lot.
For context, I purchased a years worth of internet. When calling about moving locations, they are unable to provide a refund when their representative told me they would be ABLE to provide me a refund for the unused months. After calling again to confirm the cancelation, a representative said that they are unable to provide a refund after 6 months of use. After inquiring about it again with their email service, they then said I cannot get a refund since I was outside their 45 days policy. It seems like their internal staff does not know what the policy is.
On another note, in the emails exchanged with their representative, they used condescending tones like "let me explain it to you in a way that you can understand" when I could clearly read and understand their policy. I had a few question, which were not answered, and they continued to rehash their 45 day policy in a condescending tone which wasn't related to my questions at all.
Overall, I will loose about $250-$300 for nothing. I am pretty disappointed with their customer service and would NEVER recommend buying the year up front despite it being a better deal.
