We stayed in room 43 the 8th and 9th of March 2024. All was good until it came time to checkout. We were fishing Rufus Woods and had it timed pretty good for time because we knew checkout time was at 11AM. As it turned out, the tribal warden ended up checking all of our fish, credentials, boat and tribal licenses. That was unplanned making us late, we arrived back at the motel at 11:22 and were out of there the by 11:33. Here’s where I think things went wrong. This place was less than half full all weekend. We were late and spoke to the motel folks at 11:09 to let them know we were going to be a little late back. And as it turned out, they charged my daughter a late fee of $50. So, from a customer service standpoint we found there is no grey area there. I’ve stayed here about 4 or 5 times over the years. Rest assured we will not be back again! That’s just a bit petty in my mind as there are no breaks or understanding from the staff.

Spiders and other insects in the room. Sloping foundation made me feel like I was falling out of the bed. Hair on the shower walls, and the fridge didn't work
