My child and I are in tears this morning. We both got cuts at our local Great Clips in Puyallup on Canyon road and we both suffered terrible experiences, but my child received the worst of it. I have really short hair, so it not being exactly what I want means grow it out for 3 weeks and try again. My child however went in for a pre-birthday hair cut and as much as I LOVE the person who cut our hair, they butchered the cut. The cut was suppose to be an asymmetrical pixie bob parted on the SIDE, not the middle, with long bangs on one side....now my kid looks like they have 2 different haircuts! The part down the middle isn't even straight, there are parts that are uneven all over the cut and the stylist "thinned" my kid's hair so much on one side it looks sickly. We walked out with smiles and even tipped because we were both too embarrassed to say anything. I have no idea how I am going to fix my kid's head!!!! Their birthday is no longer the event they were looking forward to. I haven't been too unhappy with my simple cuts, but my husband got a bad cut and now my kid's party hair cut....gah! Autistic children and growing out a bad cut is not an easy thing to do. They are devastated.
