Recently had an instrument stolen that I had purchased from this GC. A work friend told me they track serial numbers, and if the bass was purchased in the last 5 years, anybody on the floor should be able to find my receipt, get me the serial, and end the interaction. I called the store, and was immediately put on hold. A few minutes later, I explained the situation, and was put on hold again. I was then greeted, told they found the receipt, and assured it'd be emailed to me. An hour later, no email. So I call again. Phone rings, picks up "Hi this is guitar center I'll be with you in a moment", hung up on minutes later. Called right back, picked up, hung up with no greeting. I called again, told the gentleman who picked up what happened, and he was unable to find the receipt the associate was able to find, but didn't share the information I needed from, TO FILE A POLICE REPORT FOR A STOLEN INSTRUMENT. Here's to hoping I'm able to track down a stolen instrument without help from THE STORE IT WAS PURCHASED FROM.
