Beautiful garden area- it was cold and raining for most of the event. We expected that being advertised as a year round venue, they would be able to keep the tent warm and dry. They had heaters set up around the periphery of the tables but they were turned off most of the time. We were told that the heaters burn propane and it requires too much propane, or it cost too much to keep them on.
We were freezing all evening and there was nowhere on site that we could go to warm up. Many of the guests left early because of the cold!
The entrance to the tent was very wet- there was a large gap between the entrance and the next rain cover. This caused the entrance to be wet and muddy. Many gowns, including the brides gown were ruined as they moved from the tent to the buffet, bar and dance floor ~
The DJ tried to make announcements but could not be heard. Speeches from the parents, best man and maid of honor couldn’t be heard either because the mic and speakers were not working properly ~
When we were told that the happy couple were to cut the cake and start the first dance there wasn’t enough time for everyone to gather there. The groom’s grandmother was in a wheelchair and missed these important traditions because there wasn’t enough time to wheel her to the area.
Everyone working at this event were courteous and accommodating which is why I am giving them 2 stars.
The reason for the low rating is that the venue needs work~ It could be wonderful if the tent and other rooms were warm and transitions between areas were dry~ Until these issues are taken care of, I would not recommend this if you’re planning your event between October and May~
