After 1 appointment with Dr Zax, I went home and danced around in my house because I felt so good!!
I found Dr Zak through my husband. I am very particular about my chiropractors and have had a difficult time finding one who I like. I have found someone who works very well for me, but after going to an appointment with Dr Zak for my husband and listening to him talk, I decided to give him a try. (spoiler alert, he is now my new chiropractor)
Some background: I have been using chiropractic care, massage therapy, acupuncture, etc. for my whole life and when I say my whole life, I really do mean this. My grandma was a massage therapist for over 30 years. Most of her work was done in a chiropractic office setting. My aunt is a very highly sought after massage therapist in the Twin Cities area in MN, who works mostly on the professional and U of M sports teams, my mom was an LMT and I too went to massage school, although I went a different path after a few years. But as you can see, my experience in the world is pretty great.
My initial appointment at Halcumb was a full hour long! He did not push me into a treatment plan, tell me I needed x-rays, tell me about subluxations, or any of the other things that a lot of chiropractors try to do now. He did deep tissue work and stretching and because of his sports background, was able to tell me that I had some weaker muscle groups that were most likely the cause of a lot the pain I feel. We chatted about what to do next and I made my next appointment before I left.
To keep a very happy and very long story short, If you are skeptical of chiropractors, for ANY reason at all, go visit Dr Zak. Be open with him about any concerns that you're having because he actually LISTENS to you and I'd be willing to bet that you'll make your 2nd appointment with him before leaving too.
