I have had a roller coaster of a time with Booking . com for figuring out my reservation. Perla at the front desk went literally above and beyond to help me. She was so polite and helpful, she was even willing to hop on a 3-way call with them to help me figure out my reservation. I am so impressed. I haven't had service like that in a long time.

Had the best experience interacting with Perla at the front reception. She was super helpful and accommodating and I had such a positive experience! She went out of her way to help and I cannot say enough good things about her!

I really wanted to like this hotel, but my real experience was like this:

I booked online price was $129 one-night stay, when I check-in, the front desk said I have to $60 for deposit and I was told $60 would be refunded when I check out. So I paid everything totally per her request. And then I also paid $50 for overnight valet parking because this hotel doesn't have any free parking space, $50 is the minimum for parking your car over night.

For the $60, I called Hampton Inn Oakland Downtown 3 times for the refund. At the beginning, the customer service said 10 business days. And by today, 3 weeks passed, they told me no deposit refund!!!

Sigh............speechless

Don't get fooled by their listing price online Hotel.com or websites.
